Overall I like app & what it does, my main complaint: skills. You can't sort new skills by rating & your can't easily see ratings. When under your skills, it doesn't remember last setting alphabetical versus recent. If you enter a skill, & go back it doesn't remember where you were last. If you disable a skill, you have to completely go back into the app & back to skills again. If you launch a skill to see if you like it it automatically adds, I don't want auto add. Bloody awful since update. Used to have no issues playing Audiobooks but since the last update the app misses some chapters completely, shuffles chapters, doesn't list chapters so you can't select them and just skips over some entirely, making it impossible to listen to the audiobooks I paid for through Audible. Well done Amazon for taking my money for Audiobooks and then breaking an app (that was working just fine!) so I can't listen to the bloody things! Please just fix it!2025-02-10 23:23:57

Alexa constantly not actually playingmy spotify recently. Responds and acts like it's playing but nothing. It's nice to be able to add things to a list but it only adds the alexa list and there isn't a widget for it. It also won't connect to Microsoft to do lists while it's great to say it to alexa, the actual features & usability kinda suck. Having Amazon Alexa listen with one single click on a widget icon was the single most useful feature of your app. The permanent hands-free option is no longer provided either. Forcing us users to navigate a needlessly complicated gui just to issue a voice command is retarded and adds to the reasons not to recommend the Alexa ecosystem to anyone else.2025-02-09 04:31:50

Updated the app like they said. Now can't link my accounts. Ring doorbell doesn't notify me. It's useless with the Alexa app. Uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my phone and echo, cleared the cache and data, still won't link. I get the same message. Recent updates have removed a lot of control functions, monitoring and adjusting my Pandora playlist is effectively impossible from the app. I have an easier time just connecting to my phone's Bluetooth and running pandora app. Skills are more convoluted to access, and Alexa echo device functions (older model) no longer seem to adjust properly (i.e. equalizer, volume control, etc).2025-02-07 13:27:11
