Bay Zero is a focused launch-monitor companion app that turns raw Garmin Approach R10 data into live shot tracking and reliable club gapping for range and home practice. Pair a Garmin Approach R10, hit balls, and Bay Zero reports carry, ball speed, club speed, smash factor, launch angle, spin rate and apex so you leave the bay with usable yardages instead of guesswork. The app is built for golfers who already own a launch monitor and want a fast, distraction-free tool that avoids social feeds and coaching overlays and gives a clean, easy-to-read view of every shot.

Live shot tracking with instant carry, ball speed, club speed, smash factor, launch angle, spin axis, apex and descent in a single view. Automatic club detection, dispersion mapping and on-the-fly calculations for carry, apex and shot shape. Real per-club gapping with averages, standard deviation, distribution histograms and gap-overlap warnings to build a trustworthy bag profile. A 2D virtual range and session replay for home practice or as a simple simulator visualiser next to a hitting net. Pro practice modes including Speed Training, Gap Test, Golf Pong and Play Holes for structured practice. Weather-adjusted flight model, haptic and audio feedback, and a sunlight-readable shot screen with dark theme by default.

Advantages

Measured distances from your own swings replace guessed yardages so you can make better club choices on course. Sessions and bag analytics stay synchronized: every recorded shot updates per-club statistics and dispersion data. Data is local-first for privacy: shots, sessions and bag data live on your phone and location is used only for weather in the flight model. A clean, distraction-free interface gives immediate haptic and audio confirmation of each shot. A Pro subscription adds unlimited session history, structured training modes and CSV export, and includes a 7-day free trial with trial recordings saved.

Disadvantages

The app currently supports the Garmin Approach R10; additional launch monitors are planned but not yet available. Advanced practice modes and unlimited session storage require a Pro subscription after the trial period. The app requires an Android phone with Bluetooth Low Energy and location permission for BLE scanning to pair the launch monitor.
